Fucking finally, Beowulf is here! Something about Angelina Jolie screaming gutturally in the trailers turns me on like woah. TMI? Not quite! :D Bought God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything by Christopher Hitchens. I'm excited about the prospect of being an informed militant...atheist? I wouldn't label myself as such, really - more "anti-religion"? Is there a term for that?? I'm also excited about leaving it around the house where my dad can stumble across it and turn beet red. Also...there is a carnival in town (again)! And it's getting cooler outside, so I can wear my new fur-trimmed jacket! And exclamation points!!! Can you tell I'm obnoxiously happy today? p.s. I'm addicted to the SIMS 2. Again. Like...I missed Heroes because I was playing it so all-consumingly (I'm not THAT stupid, though - I recorded it). p.p.s. I love Chrissy! <3 ( Random Internet-y Thing )Mood: happy Music: Defying Gravity ~ Idina Menzel

At one point in time I would have told you that I'm a somewhat limited comic fan, in that I only read comic titles or issues that deal with or focus on one or two of my favorite characters (i.e. Catwoman, Storm). Now, I don't even know what to do with myself as far as storing all of the trade paperbacks I have somehow accumulated as my comic nerd-dom expands. My comic books have all inter-bred with one another and vomited over my bookshelves. And you would THINK that since I have such a healthy interest in comics now, that I would be less embarrassed each and every time I walk into a comic book store, or even down the comic/manga aisle in a bookstore. Yea...WRONG. I have perfected the look of 'mild befuddlement', so that when someone catches my eye as I'm browsing the shelves I can portray an expression of "What am I looking at? How did I get in this aisle?? Where are the fashion magazines???" ( My Current Obsessions )And I must confess to something else...I downloaded the new Britney Spears album. Though that is preferable to buying it, no? I really don't quite grasp why it's getting such positive reviews - several of the songs sound painfully ripped from a DANCE FLOOR HITS OF 1991 mix. However, some songs are delightfully...er, Britney?, and thus good for pelvis-thrusting. Download 'Break the Ice' and 'Piece of Me' if you're curious. Going to Anime Supercon tomorrow in Ft Lauderdale. Bridget, of all people, randomly informed me it was in town so now I am dragging her along with me. The Aqua Teen Hunger Force people are going to be there, and Space Ghost. I am so fucking getting my SG:CtC DVD signed! :D Can you say CUTE OUTFIT TIME? And sometime after that a Comic Convention is coming to town, as well. Woot! Going to see the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie tonight as a sort of pre-convention preparation thing. But first...we drink!
